Wausa PK-12 Principal for 2020-2021 school year
Wausa Public Schools is currently seeking an energetic, family, and community oriented person for the position of PK-12 Principal for the 2020-21 school year. This position will be a full time position, but duties will be split with the school superintendent based on the winning applicants’ strengths, so those with a Jr/Sr High or Elementary Administrative endorsement are encouraged to apply.

Wausa Public Schools is a D1-D2 sized public school district located in the community of Wausa in Northeast Nebraska, approximately 40 miles north of Norfolk, and 35 miles south of Yankton, SD. Wausa currently holds a student population of 251 students PK-12. Wausa Public School was recently given an excellent rating by the Nebraska Department of Education, and is in the process of building a new school building to replace the old 1913 building. Wausa Public schools encompasses the communities of Wausa and Magnet.

Start date will be August 1st, 2020. Salary will be negotiated based on the applicants strengths, and based upon competitive salaries with similar sized schools in the immediate area. Due to the nature of the position, applicants will be required to live in the school district.

Wausa Paraprofessional Position

Wausa Public schools will be accepting applications for an elementary paraprofessional position. This position will work with lower elementary students, as well as 1 on 1 support for students within our elementary school. This is a 9-month full time position. Hourly wage is commensurate with experience in an educational setting. Applicants must either have completed a minimum of an associate’s degree in education or have completed the para pro training. All interested applicants should send a resume, college credentials, and a completed application form to:
