Lunch/Activities Calendar

ANNOUNCEMENT:

  • Students, you are allowed to check out books from the library. At this time they are public library books, forms are available if you do not have a library card. 
  • Students, we have moved back to the Orange Phase in our COVID Plan. Masks are mandatory in hallways and class rooms if you can’t social distance and be 6ft apart  as recommended as our health department. We have done a very good job here, much better than other schools, remember that when you are thinking about not wearing a mask. It can happen to us just like its happened to others. Make the sacrifice!
  • There are to be no hats or hoods worn during the school. 
  • Students: Eating food in classrooms or at student lockers is not allowed. 
  • Jostens Rep will be here to meet with Seniors/Sophs at 9am on 10/22/20. Please have your forms and money with you. 
  • Teachers please remember to take attendance every period. 
  • The Conference Room will be reserved from 9-11am on October 28th. Duel credit classes will go to the library at that time. 
  • There will be a Pep Rally Thursday at 12:45 for the XC and VB teams. The HS lunch will start at 12:10 and be finished at 12:40 to head to the gym. Bring your SCHOOL SPIRIT!
  • There will be a Grades 7-12 assembly during careers period on Monday in the gym.

ANNOUNCEMENT:

 

  • Students, you are allowed to check out books from the library. At this time they are public library books, forms are available if you do not have a library card. 
  • The Wausa Teammates will be having a Tailgate Burger Burn fund raiser for all on  Friday, October 16 beginning around 6 pm.  Proceeds go toward scholarships and program expenses.  
  • I will be meeting the the following FBLA students on Friday, October 9 during activity period (2nd): Charlie, Jaide, Clara, Morgan, Reghan, Brooke, Brandon, Addison, Jaxon, Claire, Emma, Josh, Tyler, Leah, Trey, Abrielle, Darla, Kilee, Emily K., Ali.

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns with the above students.  I’m planning on taking the entire period

  • School will be dismissed at 2pm on Friday. Please go support the FB team in Winside at 3pm, or the XC team at 4pm at RHCC. 
  • Students, we are in our COVID Orange phase. Masks are required unless teachers tell you otherwise. Warnings for not wearing masks will no longer be given. After school detentions will be the punishment going forward. 
  • There are to be no hats or hoods worn during the school. 
  • FBLA is hosting a Pink Out on Thursday, October 15 to promote Breast Cancer awareness.  Everyone is invited to wear as much pink as you can during school and at the volleyball match that night.  People are also encouraged to donate $1 to purchase a link for our Pink Link Chain.  See Brooke Kumm or Mrs. Friedrich for more information.
  • Friday, October 16 will be a Red Out day to promote heart health in conjunction for the American Heart Association.  Please wear as much red and you can during the game and at the football game that night.  There are t-shirts for sale ($10), a blood drive in the gym from 10:00-1:00, and several activities during the football game consisting of face painting, and a football toss and walking a lap during half time.  If you would like to donate to the American Heart Association, please contact Jaide Kaiser or Mrs. Friedrich.

ANNOUNCEMENT:

  • Students, please do not try to use any other internet other than “Viking 2” at school. If you try to login to “guest”, it will mess up your computer and only Josh will be able to fix it. 
  • Students, you are allowed to check out books from the library. At this time they are public library books, forms are available if you do not have a library card. 
  • Parents Night for XC will be on Monday, 9/28 during the VB game with Plainview. 
  • MAPS Testing will take place for grades 9-11 on 9/22, 23 during periods 1-4.
  • MAPS testing will begin next week for grades K-8
  • Seniors will take a free ACT test on 9/22 during periods 1-4. Seniors that take the ACT will have Wednesday (9/23) morning off and need to report to school at 12pm to eat lunch and finish the day. 
  • FBLA committees meet on Friday, September 25 during activity period (8th period): Go Green (Emma Story, Reagan Paben, Taylor Alexander), Football Halftime Activity (Charlie, Jaide, Clara, Morgan, and Reghan Bloomquist), Volleyball Activity (Cory, Jon, Michael, Joe, Addison, Alexis, Abby, Teyah, and Alexa), Volleyball Pink Out (Brooke, Brandon, Jaxon, and Claire). All officers will be attending as well (Tyler, Kilee, Leah, Trey, Abrielle, Emily K., Ali, and Darla). 
  • SkillsUSA Leadership Team Meeting, Location:  ARCTEC, Day:  Thursday, Sept 24th, Time: 7:30 am

ANNOUNCEMENT:

  • Grandparents Day will be held September 14, at 2:30pm. Grandparents will be required to wear masks. 
  • Wednesday, 9/16 will by CHS Ag Plot day. We will have a number of students (HS/JH) attending this during 3rd and 4th periods. A list of those students will be coming out shortly.
  • Voting for Homecoming will take place during the careers period on Monday. 
  • The FR/Soph VB teams won the Randolph Tournament on Saturday!
  •  Mid-Term Grades are due on Thursday, 9/17. Students, make sure you have assignments in. 
  • Congratulations to the boys and girls cross country squads for their fine performances at the Norfolk Catholic meet on Friday. The girls finished as runner-ups and the boys finished 4th out of the 20 schools participating. The jr. hi boys finished in 3rd place out of the 8 teams. Medalist for the boys was Addison Smith in 9th. For the girls, Christina Martinson was 8th, Darla Nelson 11th and Carry Martinson 15th.
  • Congratulations to both youth league football teams in their victory over Randolph

ANNOUNCEMENT:

  • Wednesday, Sept 2nd: Teammates in Grades 5-8 will have a meeting during lunch (11:30) in the Commons Area with Chris Johnson
  • Friday, September 4th: School will be dismissed at 2:30pm for the 3pm home football game. Bus routes will run accordingly. 
  • Friday, 9/4 Schedule: 6th: 12:55-1:25, 7th: 1:27-1:58, 8th: 2-2:30pm
  • National Honor Society Induction is set for Wednesday, September 2 at 3:00 pm in the Media Center.  All high school students, junior high students, and teachers should attend this ceremony.
  • Annual Staff is selling ads tomorrow and will leave at 10:00 and return at 3:30.
  • Friday the Pep Band will be dismissed at 2:15 to set up for the FB game. 
  • FBLA officers will meet during Activities Period, 6th on Friday. 
  • We will be sending off the XC Team on Thursday for their 1st meet of the year. Please be at the West fence at 2:40 and bring your school spirit!
