JH Track Vikings are tearing up the track today at the Neligh track meet! Congrats boys 4x8 taking Gold!

Join us at the community park today at 4:15 as the FBLA hosts their first community egg hunt for anyone to participate 3rd grade and under! There will be a separate section for ages 0-2!

FBLA took 20 students to compete at the state level for SLC over the last few days! We gave speeches, broadcasted a news story, showed off an electronic career portfolio, and interviewed for a job on top of taking multiple business/technology tests. Students all attended two seminars that interested them as well as listened to a keynote speaker who talked about taking action if you want to succeed. We are so proud of all of their efforts! What a great group of students we have!

🩺5th grade performed text feature surgery today! Each group was given a patient with five procedures to complete. These doctors had to find text features from the weekly text & transplant them to their patient, as well as explain their importance! All surgeries were successful!

Get ready for some beautiful music because District Music contests are fast approaching! Wausa Band and Choir members will be heading to Laurel on April 25th. Attached are performance times and ensembles that will be performing throughout the day! Good Luck Vikes!

🔌⚡ **Fifth Grade Field Trip Fun & Electrical Safety!** ⚡🔌
Our fifth graders had an electrifying experience on their field trip, thanks to **Matt Sudbeck and Dusty Neuhalfen** from **Cedar Knox Public Power District**! 🙌 These amazing presenters hosted a powerful safety demonstration that left our students both informed and inspired.
Here’s what our students had to say:
💬 *"If you get stuck under a power line, if it's safe, stay in the car. If it's not safe, jump out without touching the car—you could become the best path to ground!"* – **Harper Johnson**
💬 *"If a power line falls on your car, don’t get out unless there’s a fire. If there is, take a big jump out and then shuffle away."* – **Kora Rohrer**
💬 *"Don’t lean ladders or anything against power lines. If you see something on a power line, call 911 so they can contact Cedar Knox Power to fix it."* – **Lola Clausen**
💬 *"I learned that 120 volts is enough to kill you—and it takes a lot of work and strength to be a lineman!"* – **Camdyn Vanness**
💬 *"Electricity is always trying to find a place to ground."* – **Brooks Seagren**
Thank you again to Cedar Knox Public Power for helping our students stay safe and sparking an interest in electrical safety and careers in public power! ⚡🛠️🚧 #FieldTripFun #ElectricalSafety #CedarKnoxPower #ThankYou #FutureLineman
