Attention High School and JH parents, the Booster Club is looking for people to step onto the Leadership Team. Three of the committee members have gone off because their youngest children graduated. The Chairperson, Vice Chair, and Secretary positions are currently vacant. (The vice chair is optional if needed.) Tiffanie Wakeley is staying on as Treasurer, Kendra Suhr is the new Concession Stand Chair, and Renee Cunningham is her assistant. Please, volunteer to be on this leadership team and keep Booster Club alive! This Club is vital to many aspects of student and coach/sponsor support, most especially the Concession Stand, which disbursed over $16,000 last school year. You can contact any of the above-mentioned people or Shelly Story for information. Shelly will help guide the new Chairperson if needed.

MARK YOUR CALENDARS! If you have a student athlete of any age we would like to invite you to a special presentation by the NCA Executive Director Darin Boysen. On August 15th at 7:30pm Darin will be presenting in the Wausa Gymnasium "The Role of Parents in Education Based Athletics" We strongly encourage all parents in grades 3-12 to attend this presentation!

Taylor, Braydon, and Gaven competed in the broadcast journalism event at the National Leadership Conference for FBLA this past week. While they weren't able to make finals, they still put their best foot forward and learned many valuable lessons! They attended several workshops to build up leadership and business skills with their peers from around the nation. What a great opportunity for these students! We would like to give a special thanks to the Wausa Community Foundation, Wausa Public Schools, Commercial State Bank, and the Brunswick State Bank for supporting FBLA which helped to make this national FBLA trip possible!
